About the role
Join the Infrastructure and Operations Team, in the Bilingual Manager, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) position. In this role you will be accountable for the day-to-day operational leadership, stability, and continuous improvement of the organization’s Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) environment.

You will lead multidisciplinary technical teams responsible for delivering on-premises and hybrid infrastructure services that support enterprise applications and critical business operations.

 

What you’ll do: 

 

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), ensuring availability, performance, backup, and recoverability objectives are consistently met.    
  • Lead, coach, and develop infrastructure teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents and ensure effective incident, problem, and change management using ServiceNow.    
  • Oversee compute, virtualization, storage, network, database, and data centre operations to ensure operational readiness and service continuity.
  • Drive problem management activities, including root cause analysis and implementation of sustainable corrective actions.
  • Deliver infrastructure initiatives such as platform upgrades, lifecycle refreshes, data centre migrations, and automation efforts.
  • Transform architectural direction into actionable execution plans aligned with enterprise and hybrid infrastructure strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security controls, governance standards, audits, and risk management requirements.

 

What you should have: 

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field. An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure roles such as infrastructure operations, data centre services, virtualization, compute and storage platforms, networking, or hybrid Infrastructure‑as‑a‑Service (IaaS) environments.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in in a leadership role with direct reports, including coaching, performance management, workforce planning, and capability development.
  • Strong experience managing on-premises and hybrid IaaS environments in large enterprise or regulated organizations.
  • Proven expertise with compute and virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper V, Nutanix, or HPE SimpliVity.
  • Experience in systems administration across Windows Server and Linux (RHEL, Debian) platforms.
  • Experience in deploying infrastructure as a code with Terraform and Ansible.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing enterprise storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions with a focus on high availability.
  • Strong knowledge of ITSM processes (incident, problem, change management) using ServiceNow.
  • Experience with capacity planning, patch management, infrastructure lifecycle management, and operational monitoring.
  • Strong communication skills in both official languages (French and English) with the ability to convey technical risks and operational impacts to diverse stakeholders.

It would be great if you also had: 

 

  • Infrastructure or platform certifications (virtualization, networking, storage, backup, or hybrid infrastructure)
  • An ITSM or service management certification (e.g., ITIL Foundation).
  • Experience supporting infrastructure operations in regulated or large enterprise environments.
  • Exposure to Agile, DevOps, or infrastructure automation practices.
