About the role

Join the Infrastructure and Operations Team, in the Bilingual Manager, IT Infrastructure (Paas) position. In this role, you will be accountable for the end-to-end operational health, security, and continuous evolution of the organization’s cloud-based platform services that enable application delivery and digital business capabilities.

Operating within an integrated infrastructure portfolio and reporting to the Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure, you will collaborate closely with leaders responsible for Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Mainframe platforms to ensure alignment, resilience, and consistency across the enterprise technology environment.

 

What you’ll do: 

 

  • Oversee end to end operational accountability for PaaS and cloud platform services, including availability, performance, security, resilience, and service recoverability.
  • Lead platform operations using IT Service Management (ITSM) processes such as incident management, problem management, change management, and capacity management through ServiceNow, acting as the final escalation point for critical incidents and service outages.
  • Establish and govern platform standards, reference architectures, and operational guardrails for Microsoft Azure Platform as a Service, automation, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), and monitoring and observability tooling.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of cloud security and compliance, including identity and access management, vulnerability management, logging, monitoring, audit readiness, and regulatory alignment.
  • Lead the delivery of key platform initiatives such as modernization, automation, self-service enablement, security enhancements, and cloud governance improvements.
  • Transform architectural direction into prioritized platform roadmaps, manage dependencies, and ensure delivery within approved scope, timelines, and risk tolerance.
  • Provide direct people leadership to senior specialist and specialists, setting expectations, developing capability, building succession depth, and contributing to enterprise infrastructure strategy.

 

What you should have: 

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field. An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure roles, such as cloud infrastructure management, platform operations, virtualization, systems engineering, or hybrid infrastructure operations.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role with direct reports, including coaching, performance management, workforce planning, and capability development.
  • Proven experience leading Platform as a Service (PaaS) or cloud platform operations in large enterprise or regulated environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure PaaS services and cloud platform capabilities, with the ability to evaluate technical designs and manage operational risk.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing automation, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (automated provisioning of cloud resources).
  • Solid understanding of cloud security principles, including identity management, logging, monitoring, vulnerability management, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills in both official languages (French and English), with the ability to clearly explain platform risks, trade offs, and service impacts to both technical and non technical stakeholders.

It would be great if you also had: 

 

  • Cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Architect, or Security).
  • Experience supporting platforms subject to audit, regulatory, or compliance requirements.
  • Exposure to FinOps, cost governance, or cloud consumption management practices.
  • Familiarity with reliability engineering, observability, and automation first platform models.
