Enumerator (Vancouver area)

Join the CMHC Surveys Team and bring your research and data collection skills to work as an Enumerator.  

Timeframe: Monthly reoccurring surveys, approximately 30 – 40 hours per month in the middle of every month within the COQUITLAM area of British Columbia.

• As an Enumerator for the Starts and Completions and Market Absorption Survey, you will drive to visit new housing construction to collect data related to housing starts, completions, sales and prices in the Coquitlam area.  
• Building and maintaining professional rapport with builders and sales offices in your geographically assigned area.
• Organizing your work and driving route to ensure that you maximize efficiency and deliver high quality work within tight monthly deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum Grade 12 Diploma.
• A valid driver’s license required and access to a reliable vehicle and insurance for $1,000,000 public liability and property damage would be required to complete travel for site visits.
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of survey procedures and data quality the field.
• Strong organizational skills to organize your work to drive it in an efficient manner and demonstrated ability to follow detailed survey collection instructions.
• Strong numerical aptitude with a high degree of accuracy and a propensity for detail.
• Proficiency using internet and computer software tools such as research, email, video conference tools, data entry databases, and MS Excel skills are required.
• Good communication skills, oral and written, to complete the data collection. 
• Able to work from home with an access to internet (high-speed).
• Ability to work independently and achieve strong results with minimum supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Related experience in data collection in the field or survey-based research and/or data entry.
• Knowledge and familiarity with the COQUITLAM area.
• Past experience with telephone interviewing, particularly making outbound calls.
• Related experience in property management and/or housing industry.
