This position reports to the Housing Solutions – Multi-Unit team in our Office of the VP, Hsg Solutions - Multi-Unit, Office of the SVP, Client Solutions sector. This sector is the liaison for CMHC and the community of multi-unit developers and housing providers.

About the role
We’re constantly evolving to build an inclusive housing system through research, design, innovation and partnerships. Your client expertise will allow us to build relationships with key business partners. You will use your management experience to provide strategic direction for operations and leadership to regional teams, helping us to make housing affordable to everyone in Canada.


This position is located in Toronto. 

What you will need
• Undergraduate degree in business, commerce, or a related field
• Minimum of ten years of relevant experience, including three years of people management experience
• Solid knowledge of housing finance, financing solutions, and of planning, delivery, administration, and housing project portfolio management systems. Additionally, the ability to analyze, reason, and work within complex frameworks and grey areas
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
• Strong ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Exceptional negotiation, persuasion and influencing skills
What you will be doing
• Providing strategic direction and leadership to regional operations and client relationship management within the sector
• Leading and managing relationships with partners to build the links needed to deliver comprehensive services to clients
• Mobilizing teams, aligning work and systems to achieve program and policy efficiencies and results
• Developing objectives and taking responsibility for engagement, enabling a culture of learning, performance management and accountability within a divisional group
• Delegating responsibility and accountability to build organizational capabilities
• Taking ownership and acknowledging the impact and outcome of decisions
• Leading and managing relationships with key regional partners
• Working with senior leadership to forge key national relationships
• Providing strategic advice and guidance to regional and national networks of internal and external clients
• Providing strategic direction for regional operations, and providing leadership and coaching to regional teams
• Providing strategic input into national-level vision, direction setting, business planning and development
• Providing regional business intelligence and knowledge of regional operating environment to the national management table
• Stimulating the development of multi-unit housing
• Providing expertise and financing solutions with the goal of increasing housing supply
• Experimenting with new approaches
• Inspiring, with the goal of transforming the housing sector and creating a new generation of housing that will meet the future needs of Canadians
