About the role 

Join the Securitization Operations Team where we support availability of mortgage funding to Approved Issuers in all economic cycles. You will carry out and oversee the National Housing Act Mortgage-Backed Securities (NHA MBS) pooling process, support issuance of securitization pools and ensure the NHA MBS Program is administered in a manner consistent with government regulations and program policies. You will provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders and resolve issues of non-compliance within program guidelines. 

 

This is a temporary position for a duration of 18 months.
   

What you’ll do:  
  

  • Support the activities of a team responsible for the delivery and administration of programs and/or business activities. 
  • Monitor business activity and conducts an analysis of applications/requests to ensure compliance with program guidelines and policies and to identify issues, solutions and efficiencies as appropriate.
  • Make recommendations for approvals, recommend courses of action for non-standard requests and processes documentation or data such as applications/requests, commitments and payment requisitions. 
  • Coordinate processing and administrative functions.  
  • Validate and ensure accuracy of data inputted into the system. 
  • Communicate and/or negotiate with clients and third-party providers to obtain and/or provide information and represent the Corporation and its interests as necessary. Meet client needs with a high level of client satisfaction and seek to enhance the client service experience in all client encounters. 
  • Act as a liaison between business lines and play a role in collecting and disseminating information that is crucial to the achievement of business objectives and project deliverables. 
    Support functional teams in reporting activities. 
  • Ensure all documentation is in place in accordance with business requirements. Manage such documentation in support of business outcomes. 

 

What you should have: 
  

  • Post-secondary education or an equivalent amount of education and experience in business or public administration. 
  • A minimum of one year of prior relevant experience in securitization or mortgage underwriting. 
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to multi-task, prioritize, meet deadlines and take initiative. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including the application of sound judgment and the ability to escalate appropriately. 
  • Oral and written communication skills including the ability to persuade others. 
  • Attention to detail. 
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. 
     

It would be great if you also had: 
 

  • Bilingualism (English / French).
