About the Role
Join our dynamic Business Solutions Engineering Team as a Bilingual Manager – Software Engineering. In this leadership role, you’ll guide a team of talented technology specialists, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and technical excellence. Reporting to the Senior Manager of the Corporate Service Team, you’ll be instrumental in shaping software engineering practices, driving delivery excellence, and enabling impactful business outcomes.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and Inspire: Build and mentor a high-performing team focused on delivering business value through agile, innovative, and productive ways of working.
- Establish Engineering Excellence: Define and promote best practices, standards, and training programs to ensure consistency and quality across software development initiatives.
- Measure and Improve: Develop metrics and reporting mechanisms to monitor progress, identify improvement opportunities, and enhance delivery performance and client satisfaction.
- Drive Innovation: Champion creative problem-solving and experimentation, encouraging the team to explore new technologies and approaches that strengthen our competitive edge.
- Enable Delivery: Collaborate with project and product teams to understand their needs and optimize tools, platforms, and processes that accelerate customer value delivery.
- Coach and Support: Provide expert guidance, performance feedback, and coaching to team members, ensuring high-quality outcomes and professional growth.
What you should have
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- A Minimum 7 years of experience in software engineering, including full lifecycle delivery from planning to implementation.
- At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role, with a track record of coaching, change management, and fostering innovation.
- Strong knowledge of design patterns, code reviews, debugging, and application security principles.
- A solid understanding of application security principles, including the process of identifying and repairing vulnerabilities in application software. Familiarity with tools and techniques to test and monitor applications for security vulnerabilities.
- Proven analytical and technical skills, with a logical approach to problem-solving.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong relationships across teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and French, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels, including senior leadership.
Technical Expertise
- Deep understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O).
- Experience with SAS IFRS and Wallstreet platforms.
- Proficiency in X++, Visual Studio, and .NET development.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Functions and Logic Apps.
- Solid grasp of Agile methodologies, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git.
