Join the Commercial Solutions sector in the role of Specialist, Quality Assurance Analysis. In this role, you will support the business to ensure adherence to established policies, procedures, frameworks and authorities to provide management with confidence in business operations. You will oversee and monitor the full life cycle of quality assurance, compliance, oversight and/or audit support. You will apply risk and control concepts to scenarios encountered, communicate identified issues or risks to senior management and ensure any potential concerns are addressed in a timely and effective manner.
This is a temporary position of a duration of 18 months.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the development validation protocols, policies and guidelines, and develop plans, including, as applicable, objectives, risk assessment, criteria and monitoring/testing approaches/programs for the conduct of the assignment.
- Lead the execution of ongoing monitoring, testing, evaluating and reporting on key processes, controls and policy/program requirements, framework requirements, assessing rigour and consistency in the application of policies, procedures and controls.
- Ensure appropriate risk awareness, risk and control self assessment (RCSA) and monitoring by working closely with applicable CMHC personnel.
- Stay informed on corporate objectives, priorities and initiatives across CMHC to adequately identify existing and emerging risks.
- Recommend and assist in the implementation of key performance and/or risk indicators and/or outcome targets to improve business effectiveness and efficiency.
- Promote and leverage appropriate industry frameworks, standards and practices, as applicable, in conducting work activities.
- Develop and oversee the processes and practices for the collection, analysis and evaluation of information to achieve assignment objectives and to identify trends, gaps, errors and risk incidents and propose improvements necessary to cover risks.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in a related field such as business, finance or economics. Professional designation in a related field is an asset.
- Minimum of five years experience, demonstrating knowledge of risk management, business-level risk appetite lifecycle, quality assurance and oversight.
- Sound judgment, analytical thinking, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills (tact, judgment, diplomacy, professionalism, and political sensitivity).
- Demonstrated experience in project management and organizational skills.
