This position reports to the Systems team in our Business Optimization and Systems, Office of the SVP, Client Operations sector. This sector makes delivering housing affordability solutions easy.

About the role

We’re constantly evolving to build an inclusive housing system through research, design, innovation and partnerships. CMHC is establishing Client Relationship Management (Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM) across many of its business lines. This role within the team responsible for the governance of D365 CRM and system maintenance, is to look at implementing a formal intake and prioritization process.  You will plan and manage projects, conduct research, and lead data-related operational initiatives and establish the framework for optimization/improvement/enhancement projects to CRM, developing the associated procedures for these two processes and serve as the conduit between business lines, the CRM team, IT Business Partners as well as preparing recommendations for prioritization of enhancements by the CRM Steering Committee. In addition, this role will support the monitoring of the implementation of data and other corporate CRM standards, flagging issues and reporting to the CRM Steering Committee.  You will provide strategic guidance for the continuous improvement of activities for the sector. This will help us make housing affordable for everyone in Canada.

 

What you will need

  • Degree in a related field such as business administration or commerce.
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) would be an asset.
  • Minimum of five years of related experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills including negotiation, influencing skills and presentation skills.
  • Highly developed research and analysis skills.
  • Project management and organizational skills including the ability to manage small to large-scale projects.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to achieve common goals.
  • Ability to work with a variety of clients internal/external.
  • Ability to conceptualize and anticipate future events in order to plan business objectives and strategic direction.
  • Ability to add business value to operations.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking to make connections and align to organizational goals.
  • Knowledge of Power BI is an asset.

 

What you will be doing

Research, Development and Implementation

  • Leading and participating in multi-disciplinary teams and managing the simultaneous progress of several projects, establishing priorities, and resources are being used effectively.
  • Developing detailed terms of reference, approval forms, request for proposals, contacts, on-going project / consultant monitoring processes and evaluation forms, to ensure sound business results are achieved within established schedules.
  • Providing functional guidance and leadership to project members, assigning tasks, monitoring quality, provide feedback on performance (to team members, as well as to the Senior Manager)
  • Writing briefing and reports.
  • Implementing a formal intake and prioritization process and establish the framework for optimization/improvement/enhancement projects to CRM.
  • Develop the associated procedures for these two processes.
  • In addition, this role will support the monitoring of the implementation of data and other corporate CRM standards, flagging issues and reporting to the CRM Steering Committee.  You will provide strategic guidance for the continuous improvement of activities for the sector.

Program Management

  • Coordinating and managing a portfolio of projects and their prioritization.
  • Defining the program controls - the processes, procedures, reporting, etc. - to manage the program.
  • Coordinating the projects and their interdependencies between the various projects and programs in the program.
  • Performing subject matter expert activities for specific system enhancements to CRM.
  • Support the monitoring of the implementation of data and other corporate CRM standards, flagging issues and reporting to the CRM Steering Committee.
  • Provide strategic guidance for the continuous improvement of activities for CRM.
  • Monitoring budget allocation and writing strategic documents presenting funding cases Developing and implementing reports and reporting tools to share with senior executives and other stakeholders.
  • Maintaining appropriate functional business system documentation and process controls.

Strategy Development  & Relationship Management

  • Serve as the conduit between business lines, the CRM team, IT Business Partners as well as preparing recommendations for prioritization of enhancements by the CRM Steering Committee.
  • Serves as a key advisor in the development of strategy and the evaluation of operational and business decisions when requested.
  • Liaises with IT and sector management on how to ensure optimal use of technology.
  • Provides support as directed during external and internal business audits.
  • Develops and synthesizes recommendations for senior management as opportunities present themselves that best serve the overall objectives of CMHC and its clients.
