Salary: Our salaries generally range from $ 83038.35 to $ 103797.93 and are based on qualifications and experience.

About the role
Join the Finance System team in the position of Specialist, Financial Systems. In this role, you will ensure the effective provision of business expertise and support for the development, implementation and maintenance of the Corporation’s Finance applications, tools and/or business processes and any interfaces and integrations to other areas.

 

This is a temporary position until June 30, 2026, with possibility of extension.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Manage the lifecycle of changes to the financial system with responsibility on user requirements, functional process design and testing.
  • Ensure financial systems behaves as expected and abide by best practices and standards of the industry.
  • Understand the data used by financial systems to help build models and report for the business partners.
  • Provide recommendations and guidance to ensure the highest level of data accuracy and integrity and ensure adequate testing procedures are carried out.
  • Provide technical expertise on statistical reporting tools and applications and identify opportunities for automation of functions/processes.
  • Liaise with internal and external clients and other stakeholders to clarify issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain appropriate functional business system documentation and process controls.

 
What you should have:

  • An undergraduate degree in a related field such as Finance, computer science, business administration or commerce.
  • A minimum of five years experience in using or overseeing changes to ERP systems (preferability Microsoft D365FO), or within a financial or reporting position.
  • Qualitative and quantitative analysis skills.
  • A strong experience with spreadsheets, data analysis or statistical tools (Excel, SAS, PowerBI, etc.).
  • Project management skills acquired through the management of small to medium-sized projects.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal capabilities with demonstrated ability to interface and work with colleagues, showing tact and diplomacy at all times.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills with the ability to reason logically and recognize assumptions.

 

It would be great if you also had:

  • A Finance certification.
  • A Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) designation. 
  • Microsoft certifications for Azure/D365.
