Salary: Our salaries generally range from $ 86816.59 to $ 108520.74 and are based on qualifications and experience.

About the role

Join the Business planning and optimization (BOP) team, in the Specialist, Business Planning position. In this role, you will drive key planning initiatives, translate corporate and divisional strategies into clear, actionable plans, and support priority‑setting, and risk assessment. You will prepare briefings, reports, and presentations for senior leadership and lead planning initiatives end to end, working with internal partners to align priorities, resources, and outcomes in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.

 

This is a temporary position until December 2027.

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Translate corporate and divisional strategies into clear, practical business plans that support shared priorities and action.
  • Contribute to the divisional planning cycle, including priority setting, sequencing, and progress tracking.
  • Support leaders by bringing clarity to complex or ambiguous planning topics and articulating clear priorities, actions, and measures of success.
  • Prepare clear, accessible briefings, reports, and presentations to support leadership decision making.
  • Identify and assess risks, gaps, dependencies, and resource considerations to inform planning discussions.
  • Lead or support planning initiatives from early concept through delivery, working collaboratively across teams and applying sound project management practices.
  • Contribute to business continuity and readiness planning in support of organizational resilience.
  • Work closely with internal planning partners and leadership to support alignment across plans, resources, and outcomes.

 

What you should have:

 

  • An undergraduate degree in a relevant field such as finance, business administration, economics, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in client relations within the financial services or mortgage services industry, with exposure to planning, coordination, reporting, and decision‑support activities, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suites.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing clear, executive‑ready briefings, summaries, reports, and presentations for a range of audiences, including leadership.
  • Experience assessing risks, gaps, dependencies, and trade‑offs to support planning and priority‑setting discussions.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively when information, priorities, or direction are evolving.
  • Clear and thoughtful communication skills, with the ability to articulate priorities, recommendations, and outcomes.
  • Experience working collaboratively across teams and contributing to outcomes without reliance on formal authority.

 

It would be great if you also had:

 

  • Strong PowerPoint skills and experience preparing planning decks, briefings, or learning materials.
  • Familiarity with client or stakeholder management tools (e.g., CRM or D365).
  • Strong understanding of sales metrics (ROI, churn, conversions).
  • Knowledge of Homeowner and/or Multi-Unit mortgage loan insurance products.
