This position reports to the Talent Acquisition team in our People and Strategy sector. This sector has the focus, the people and the voice to achieve our aspiration that is to make housing affordable for everyone in Canada.
 

About the role
As a member of the Talent Acquisition team, you will be a key contributor to the transformation of CMHC recruitment strategy approach (reactive to proactive).  You will be seen as subject matter expert who provides strategic and tactical advice, services to hire the right place, at the right time in support to CMHC overall strategy.    

 

***Please note that this is an 18 months contract position. This position can be located anywhere in Canada.***

 

What you will need

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in full cycle recruitment activities in a corporate environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or Industrial Relations.
  • Experience using social media, recruiting platforms or software, ATS database, websites, boolean searches and advanced sourcing techniques to manage candidate pipelines, talent pools and analyze data that creates insights and strong ROI.
  • Expertise with diversity and inclusion sourcing strategy and hiring. 
  • Ability to create and design creative/innovative sourcing strategies to address hiring needs across all job levels.
  • Self-starting attitude and organizational skills to work autonomously, remotely with the ability to deliver results within aggressive deadlines in line with our empowered working culture.
  • Strong project management skills (managing multiple projects and timelines) and ability to develop strong relationships with internal/ external stakeholders.
  • Bilinguism required (French and English /oral and written).

 

What you will be doing

 

Recruitment (50% of the time)
Manage the full life cycle recruitment process of a specific portfolio which includes:

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand business requirements and market conditions, elaborate and implement appropriate recruitment strategies to hire for current needs while building pipelines for future business needs.
  • Use and promote a variety of sourcing methods (recruiting platforms, social media, websites, boolean searches data mining, cold calling, ATS database, diversity recruiting resources, virtual career fairs, etc.) to source candidates.
  • Assess candidates using phone or Skype interviews and provide a short list of candidates for hiring managers' consideration. 
  • Negotiates and completes offer process with candidates.

 

Project management (50% of the time)
Design & implement the CMHC sourcing framework by:

  • Serving as a subject matter expert in the use and application of various sourcing methodology best practices.
  • Establishing sourcing metrics and dashboards.
  • Monitoring sourcing metrics and recommend corrective measures to address gaps.
  • Building and organizing sourcing training activities and best practices (in collaboration with other stakeholders) for the members of the Talent Acquisition team.

Bring to maturity the CMHC candidate pipeline process by:

  • Researching and recommending best practices.
  • Conducting an assessment of CMHC past recruitment data to identify, hard to fill, volume or niche roles.
  • Recommending guidelines and usage methodology. 
  • Establishing measures to monitor efficiency.
  • Monitoring measures and metrics and recommend corrective measures to address gaps.
