About the role
Join the Technology and Business Transformation Team, in the Software Engineering – Tagetik Enterprise Performance Management Platform position, where the next generation of financial planning and analytics solutions are being developed to support CMHC’s mission. In this position, you will design, configure, and implement innovative Tagetik solutions. You will act as a key point of contact for business and technical stakeholders, ensuring requirements are fully understood and met, while supporting continuous improvement within CMHC’s enterprise FP&A ecosystem.

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Serve as CMHC’s leading expert on the Tagetik Enterprise Performance Management platform, guiding and advising other developers through mentoring, coaching, and knowledge-sharing.

  • Demonstrated experience as a Subject Matter Expert, providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and team members to enhance their skills and knowledge, and to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

  • Collaborate with the client community to determine their system needs, document the current and proposed business processes, and advise clients of the proposed solutions and their impacts.

  • Author technical specification documents and diagrams for new and existing solutions.

  • Design, build, and configure Tagetik applications, including data models, workflows, calculations, templates, dashboards, and reports to deliver scalable, accurate, and efficient FP&A solutions.

  • Integrate Tagetik with CMHC’s ecosystem, including ERP, CRM, data warehouse, APIs, and Azure services.

  • Participate in unit testing, system testing, user acceptance testing, defect resolution, and deployment activities.

  • Stay informed on Tagetik platform updates, market best practices, and emerging FP&A technologies to continually enhance system capabilities.

 

What you should have:

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • A minimum of 7 years of software development experience, with significant hands-on expertise in the Tagetik platform.

  • CCH Tagetik Platform builder / Platform specialist certification

  • Strong applied experience in Tagetik configuration, including data models, hierarchies, AIH, DPM, ETL, workflows, analytical models, and reporting.

  • Demonstrated ability to define and apply development best practices within enterprise FP&A systems.

  • Previous experience mentoring junior developers, supporting capability uplift, and performing structured code or configuration reviews.

  • Strong leadership, communication, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.

 

Technologies:

 

  • Hands-on experience with Tagetik integration frameworks, ETL tools, and interoperability with ERP and data platforms.

  • Experience with SQL, relational databases, and enterprise data modelling concepts.

  • Good understanding of Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure DevOps/Git-based workflows.

  • Experience with cloud Azure platform, Azure Functions and Logic Apps.

 

It would be great if you also had:

 

  • Budgeting, Planning, & Forecasting Professional Certification or equivalent advanced platform credentials.
