Join the IT Portfolio Management team in the role of Senior Specialist, IT Portfolio. You will be responsible for overseeing and leading IT project within your assigned portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the successful delivery of IT projects from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with business objectives and project success metrics.
- Ensure risks and issues are identified and the appropriate mitigation strategies are implemented to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Oversee the delivery of projects delivered by a third-party vendor including contract development, oversight of project execution, and adherence to contractual obligations.
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility.
- Build and maintain an effective working relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage the project scope, project schedule, and project costs.
- Manage internal projects that do not have a dedicated Project Manager, including schedule, resource allocation, adhering to project management progress, and deliverable acceptance/sign-off.
- Coordinate day-to-day interactions and communications with project stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and coaching on Agile project management practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Business Administration or another related field.
- Seven (7) years’ experience in a leadership role on projects, product, or portfolio management.
- Demonstrated experience in working in partnership with third-party providers.
- Advanced knowledge of Agile methodologies and software development life cycles (SDLC).
- Advanced skills in refinement, story-splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing requirements.
- Strong leadership skills and a history of leading through influence.
- Ability to make informed decisions quickly and effectively, balancing the needs of the project, team members, and management.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to adjust communication to address/meet needs of targeted audience.
- A commitment to ongoing learning and development, both personally and to uplift the team.
- Strong emotional intelligence and a genuine interest in your team, ensuring that people come first over project goals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the Scrum Master role for a cross-functional development team.
- Agile Certification (Agile coach/Scrum Master), Project Management Professional (PMP), or other Project Management certification.
- Experience working on Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM/ERP) systems.
- Bilingualism (English and French).
