Join the IT Portfolio Management team in the role of Senior Specialist, IT Portfolio. You will be responsible for overseeing and leading IT project within your assigned portfolio.
 
Responsibilities:
 

  • Oversee the successful delivery of IT projects from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with business objectives and project success metrics. 
  • Ensure risks and issues are identified and the appropriate mitigation strategies are implemented to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the delivery of projects delivered by a third-party vendor including contract development, oversight of project execution, and adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility.
  • Build and maintain an effective working relationship with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Manage the project scope, project schedule, and project costs.
  • Manage internal projects that do not have a dedicated Project Manager, including schedule, resource allocation, adhering to project management progress, and deliverable acceptance/sign-off.
  • Coordinate day-to-day interactions and communications with project stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and coaching on Agile project management practices.

 

Minimum Qualifications:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Business Administration or another related field. 
  • Seven (7) years’ experience in a leadership role on projects, product, or portfolio management.
  • Demonstrated experience in working in partnership with third-party providers.
  • Advanced knowledge of Agile methodologies and software development life cycles (SDLC).
  • Advanced skills in refinement, story-splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing requirements.
  • Strong leadership skills and a history of leading through influence.
  • Ability to make informed decisions quickly and effectively, balancing the needs of the project, team members, and management. 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to adjust communication to address/meet needs of targeted audience.
  • A commitment to ongoing learning and development, both personally and to uplift the team.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and a genuine interest in your team, ensuring that people come first over project goals.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

 

  • Experience in the Scrum Master role for a cross-functional development team.
  • Agile Certification (Agile coach/Scrum Master), Project Management Professional (PMP), or other Project Management certification.
  • Experience working on Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM/ERP) systems.
  • Bilingualism (English and French).
