About the role
Join the Enterprise Data Office in the Senior Specialist, Data Quality position, where we lead our digital transformation by improving data quality and integrity to accelerate housing affordability. We’re constantly evolving to build an inclusive housing system through research, design, innovation, and partnerships. In this role, you will support the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of a Data Quality Management solution. You will also help the organization realize the full value of its data assets and capabilities, ensuring safe, effective, and efficient sharing of data across CMHC.
What you’ll do:
- Design comprehensive data quality strategies that align with organizational objectives and ensure consistent and accurate data across all platforms.
- Establish and maintain data governance frameworks to ensure data compliance, security, and efficiency in alignment with enterprise policies and regulations.
- Conduct regular data quality monitoring, identify areas for improvement, and produce detailed reports for stakeholder review.
- Work closely with IT, analytics, and business units to integrate data quality practices into daily operations and project implementations.
- Provide training and guidance on best practices in data quality management to internal stakeholders, enhancing overall data literacy within the organization.
- Continuously evaluate and improve data processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance data quality and reliability.
What you should have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in data quality management, data governance, or a related field.
- A proven expertise with Informatica IDMC (Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud) and other data quality tools.
- An experience in designing and implementing data governance frameworks and policies.
- A knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across various departments and levels within the organization.
- Experience with data governance and management tools (e.g. Collibra and / or Informatica).
It would be great if you also had:
- A Master’s degree.
- A certification in data management or data quality (e.g., DAMA DMBOK, CDMP).
