Responsibilities:
- Ensures that CMHC’s overall IT portfolio is aligned to meet corporate, business unit / client needs and priorities. Identifies where there are demand or service gaps and works with the Partner Relationship Management and Operational Oversight division.
- Acts as an escalation point to support and help with the coordination and timely resolution of key prioritization, planning, funding, and implementation issues/risks.
- Leads the enterprise-wide IT demand management, including the gathering, assessing, prioritizing, and planning of IT demands across multiple stakeholder groups to ensure alignment and funding.
- Owns and maintains IT Portfolio Management functions and supporting continuous process improvements.
- Leads the continuous improvement of the IT BA function, working with the BA team to identify, develop, implement, and monitor the effectiveness of enabling processes to meet functional requirements.
- Oversees and supports the BA team in the delivery of day-to-day IT BA services including workload prioritization, communicating and integrating the IT BA function with business and other stakeholder groups.
- Provides day-to-day leadership and guidance to team members, including planning/scheduling of work and resolution of escalated issues and risks; reports to senior leadership on unit performance and escalates risks as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in business administration, computer science or a related discipline; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
- Minimum of ten (10) years experience in Project/Portfolio Management and Business Analysis with at least five (5) to seven (7) years in leading a team.
- Ability to proactively collaborate across business and IT departments to achieve cross-functional success. Ability to balance the big picture with meeting the day-to-day needs of the organization.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills to influence and engage colleagues, along with a broad understanding of the businesses they support.
- Ability to interact with various levels of management in a multi-tasking, deadline-oriented team environment.
- Ability to take a solution-oriented approach with demonstrated ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, peers and team members.
- Bilingual (in French and in English).
