About the role
Join the Insurance and Securitization Team in the Senior Analyst, Quality Assurance role. In this position, you will support the business by ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, frameworks and authorities to provide management with confidence in business operations. You will support and monitor the full life cycle of quality assurance, compliance, oversight and/or audit support. You will apply risk and control concepts to scenarios encountered, track and communicate identified issues or risks to senior management and ensure any potential concerns are addressed in a timely and effective manner.
This is a temporary position with a duration of 24 months.
What you’ll do:
- Participate in planning, conducting and reporting on Internal Quality Assurance reviews, ensuring compliance with key policy and procedures within the Homeowner business lines.
- Monitor and review key processes, practices and procedures, and ensure activities are in accordance with standards, regulations, guidelines and/or other requirements. Identify opportunities to enhance practices.
- Collect information, undertake analysis and reports on identified risks and/or non-compliance. Make recommendations and/or prepare action plans to manage risks and ensure compliance.
- Contribute to prepare reports for management on summary findings and recommendations.
- Support senior colleagues in the collection, analysis and synthesis of information from diverse sources and the communication of results.
- Provide advice to internal and/or external clients and stakeholders regarding risk and control matters, including the application of standards, regulations and/or policies, as well as remediation to address risk and control issues.
- Ensure effective relationships with internal and/or external clients and stakeholders.
- Respond to internal and/or external client and stakeholder inquiries.
What you should have:
- An undergraduate degree in a related field such as business, finance or economics.
- A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in underwriting mortgage insurance products.
- Demonstrated knowledge of risk management, quality assurance and oversight.
- Sound judgment and analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills (tact, judgment, diplomacy, professionalism and political sensitivity).
- Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and work under time constraints.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
It would be great if you also had:
- Experienced in data gathering and reporting tools.
