Salary: Our salaries generally range from $ 73555.31 to $ 91944.14 and are based on qualifications and experience.

About the role
Join the Portfolio Insurance team, in the Senior Analyst, Policy and Operations position, where we make delivering housing affordability solutions easy. You will assess portfolio insurance applications from lenders by providing business recommendations. You will also support and develop market intelligence, develops business options, contribute to development of risk criteria while continually ensuring that client needs are addressed throughout the process.

 

This is a temporary position of a duration of 12 months. 

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Conduct underwriting activities for loans lenders submit for Portfolio Insurance, recommend pools to be insured, and prepare the formal letter of offer to the lender.
  • Confirm that loans submitted for securitization have valid insurance.
  • Manage Purpose Test reporting activities.
  • Initiate IT incidents when system issues arise that affect activities.
  • Provide quantitative and qualitative analyses on specific issues and lead ad hoc projects.
  • Develop a variety of written documentation, presentations, and briefing materials in support of project work for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain quality relationships with clients to understand their needs and objectives and explore opportunities. 

 

What you should have:

 

  • A bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Economics or Statistics.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in mortgage financing and/or real estate, and/or housing and mortgage markets with knowledge of financial and risk assessment processes and procedures.
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking, research and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize and conceptualize.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • An advanced knowledge of analytical tools such as Microsoft Excel, SAS, R and/or Python.

 

It would be great if you also had:

 

  • Bilingualism would be considered to be an asset.
