Senior Analyst, Financial Solutions (Position can be located anywhere in Canada)

Join the Client Solution Division, in the Financial Solutions Team, where our partners view CMHC as the catalyst for solving housing affordability challenges. Your skills and passion for data analysis and reporting,  process improvements and building new relationships, will support the development and scaling the data infrastructure while tackling client issues and providing solutions. 




  • Provides input to shape functional operations, processes, and reporting.
  • Supports the preparation of briefing notes, submissions, issue papers, dockets and responses to ministerial and presidential correspondence related to the delivery of NHS and existing affordable housing programs.
  • Ongoing monitoring and maintenance of operational data and reporting tools to support regular and adhoc reporting needs.
  • Takes immediate action to address client needs and inquiries, and supports effective and efficient delivery of Innovation Fund and Federal Lands programs in contribution to service standards.
  • Supports,Reviews, prioritizes and recommends affordable housing loan, and contribution applications within the associated policy framework 
  • Maintains quality relationships with clients to understand their needs and objectives and explore opportunities.
  • Assumes responsibility for working in a team environment in contribution to service standards and turnaround times.
  • Uses effective communication techniques, both written and oral, to deliver quality service.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently on projects and to develop.


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field such as business administration, finance or commerce OR/ combination of
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience.Strong ability to function in a sophisticated technological environment using tools such as spreadsheets, databases and applications as well as consolidation and reporting tools (MS 365 suite with emphasis on  Power BI).
  • Knowledge of CMHC programs, procedures, policies, and risk management.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid communications and strong organization skills Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Project management and some process development skills.


Preferred Qualifications:
•    Successful completion of a professional association designation program
