About the role
We’re constantly evolving to build an inclusive housing system through research, design, innovation and partnerships. You will support the synthesis and delivery of strategic financial guidance to various corporate clients. You will act as a business partner, helping clients establish robust financial processes that provide business insights on which financial decisions can be made. You will proactively develops an in-depth understanding of the business operations through discussion and analysis, distilling financial needs and gaining trust as a business partner. You will conduct, implement and develop finance process modelling activities and interpret and report on performance measures that will help us make housing affordable for everyone in Canada.

What you will need
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Commerce or in a related field.
• A Professional Accounting Designation (CPA) or a solid accounting experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience and increasing responsibilities working in related Finance positions (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered).
• Demonstrated financial planning and analysis (FP&A) experience and skills to function in a sophisticated technological environment using tools such as spreadsheets, databases, applications as well as consolidation and reporting tools.
• Proven business acumen/decision making skills as well as strategic thinking, relationship management, and negotiation/influence skills.
• Knowledge of relevant financial, legislative, and regulatory environments.
• Understanding of financial statements and general accounting principles for all aspects of the business.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage several ongoing and competing projects.
• Excellent ability to gather and analyze information, to synthesize key elements and summarize with recommendations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to take initiative, work independently and in a team environment.
• Demonstrated work experience in providing advice, coaching and guidance to clients on various accounting matters.
• Strong ability to work in a high stress, multi-demand environment.


What you will be doing

• Acting as a key business partner for the assigned Client/Line of Business (LoB) by helping clients establishing robust financial processes that provide business insights on which financial decisions can be made.
• Coaching and guiding clients on the development and documentation of financial plans.
• Advising clients on implementing new financial processes, systems, and internal controls.
• Developing an in-depth understanding of the client’s operations through discussion and analysis.
• Conducting in-depth and proactive analysis of clients’ expense and revenue consumption activities, forecast accuracy, variances between actuals, and variance from planned amounts.
• Contributing to the development, implementation, standardization, and monitoring of strategic performance indicators, measures and targets for corporate clients.
