Join our Strategy Team where we accelerate housing affordability through evidence-based policy, research, and disruptive innovation.  The Innovation Program execution team is responsible for the operation and continuous improvement of the housing programs that fall under the Innovation and Partnerships division - the Housing Supply Challenge, Solutions Labs, and the Demonstrations Initiative. This suite of Programs is at the core of our division aiming to remove barriers to housing supply, convene teams to collaboratively tackle important problems, and showcase innovative solutions to normalize, promote, and potentially scale successful work. 

 

The role of the Officer involves supporting the design and execution of the innovation programs including program launch, application management and support. The Officer will engage with program applicants and business stakeholders to ensure the innovation projects are well supported and managed throughout their lifecycle. Bridging the roles of the Senior Analysts/Officer and the Senior Administrator, the Officer will support the critical functions, financial and program operations to ensure they are meeting the desired outcomes. This will include contributing to all aspects of the application management and the overall provision of innovation projects, from creation, execution, and milestone management.  There will also be opportunities to dive into challenge creation, engage with stakeholders across the housing ecosystem to ensure that the programs are making a significant difference, contribute to program redesign/ improvement, and get creative with how we solve problems.  

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Supports the overall innovation program execution. 
  • Supports the program execution, evaluation, measurement framework and application administration including contribution agreements, milestone management, payment processes, account reconciliation, tracking and reporting.
  • Supports the research, analysis and synthesis of information from diverse sources. 
  • Supports the coordination of processes to ensure Programs (and supported projects) are given visibility and helps contribute to the dissemination of program outcomes.

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

 

  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience in innovation.
  • Analytical thinking, research, and problem-solving skills at an intermediate level.
  • Ability to effectively follow and execute established processes and procedures. 
  • Understanding of and experience with procurement procedures and policies.
  • Experience working in corporate financial systems, CRM, PTP or other similar systems.
  • Project management skills and expertise.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop successful relationships with stakeholders.
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Innovation and/or Change Management certificate(s).  
  • Experience coordinating peer-review or committee work.  
  • Experience in process redesign.
