About the role
We’re constantly evolving to build an inclusive housing system through research, design, innovation and partnerships. Your expertise in Digital Web and Mobile Management as well as your strategic and operational leadership will ensure effective management of CMHC's internal and external websites. Help us make housing affordable for everyone in Canada. 
 

What you will need 

  • Bachelor’s  degree or college diploma in a relevant field such as communications, public relations, digital marketing, interactive arts and technology.
  • Minimum of seven years of prior relevant experience in digital communications channels like web design, user experience design, social media, communications, digital marketing or intranets. 
  • Minimum of three years supervisory and/or management experience. 
  • Strong background in leading and implementing digital strategy and supporting online governance. 
  • Demonstrated project management experience in the implementation of web content management systems or intranets. 
  • Strong background in the principles and practices of user experience design and the production and performance of digital content. 
  • Demonstrated experience managing content development and publishing on digital platforms, including the development of written copy and supporting visual assets. 
  • Strong understanding of how digital channels function, with emphasis on websites and solid knowledge of online marketing tools / social media techniques and best practices. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and influencing skills, including the ability to persuade others and to communicate with tact and diplomacy. 


What you will be doing

  • Lead the development, implementation and management of CMHC's digital web and mobile strategy in line with CMHC's brand, audiences and business goals. 
  • Manage the development and implementation of online governance framework including design, copy, usability, accessibility standards and guidelines related to appropriate web writing, search engine optimization and content performance. 
  • Manage the work of a team of professionals responsible for providing expert and specialized web content development and delivery services in response to complex, changing client needs, contributing to overall corporate and web outcomes. 
  • Provide leadership to the functional team to ensure alignment between strategic directions, corporate priorities and emerging client needs. 
  • Set objectives and take responsibility for engagement, enabling a culture of learning, performance management and accountability 
  • Liaise with business line partners to meet key requirements of business lines and to meet overall corporate strategy with respect to web presence and digital strategy. 
  • Oversee the delivery of specialized, corporate-wide web user experience (UX) design expertise for internal and external websites and web-based applications accessible through the corporate website or intranet.
