Join the Multi-Unit Operations team within the Client Operations Team where we make delivering housing affordability solutions easy. We are constantly evolving to build an inclusive housing system through research, design, innovation and partnerships. As a leader of CMHC’s Prevention and Default Management team, you will carry out management responsibilities for the delivery of business activities of the prevention and default management activities of CMHC’s insured properties. You will direct the management of client files, oversee, manage performance, and coach a team of staff, and manage the administration of day-to-day operations and lenders relations. Strong leadership skills as well as a good understanding multi-unit mortgage loan insurance products and processes are required.
This is a temporary position of a duration of 12 months.
Responsibilities:
- Align people with work in order to achieve organizational objectives and results.
- Set objectives and take responsibility for engagement, enabling a culture of learning, performance management and accountability.
- Develop, implement, and monitor plans and processes to streamline operations and promote continuous improvement.
- Analyze and deploy tactics and strategies to improve risk performance.
- Work closely with internal CMHC colleagues and internal partners to ensure a seamless end-to-end client experience.
- Develop strategies, identify improvements and collaborate on issue resolution with national teams, local partners and stakeholders.
- Manage risk by monitoring the quality of results, market conditions and key performance indicators (KPIs), and by taking appropriate action.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in a related field, such as business administration, finance or real estate law.
- Minimum of seven years of relevant experience, including two to three years of supervisory experience.
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment with the ability to lead others in times of change.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to influence, persuade others and present information to a variety of audiences.
- Well-developed research and data collection and intelligence-gathering skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
