Join the Corporate Services team, where our partners view CMHC as the catalyst for solving housing affordability challenges. The position oversees a team of subject matter experts in the areas of Intelligent Automation, Advanced Analytics and Business Intelligence. The incumbent will be responsible for building and managing the Business Intelligence center of excellence portfolio and managing the daily operations of projects and programs. 




  • Manages day-to-day operations of Business Intelligence and Intelligent Automation functions and contributes to the growth and capabilities through delivery oversight of the portfolio. 
  • Works closely with key stakeholders to seek opportunities and collaborate with partners to find the right Automation and/or Business Intelligence solutions.  Works with the business to inform capacity planning and prioritize key initiatives.                    
  • Leads the Business Intelligence Project Initiation (Scoping) exercise and identifies  key initiatives, performs prioritizations, and ensures communication with key stakeholders.                                                                            
  • Ensures proper issue resolution and as required, escalates issues/barriers and findings in an effort to improve decision-making, ensure achievement of timelines and successful delivery of the portfolio.            
  • Oversees effective prioritization of the center of excellence portfolio and capacity management. 
  • Oversees the development of key performance indicators, value realization frameworks from a Business Intelligence perspective and the effective implementation and communication of best practices and standards.                                                          
  • Implements/operationalizes the project and change management program, including the coordination of several priorities, projects and resources.                                                                            


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Undergraduate degree in Software Engineering, Business Administration, Statistics or a related field with a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in data & analytics (such as RPA, Business Intelligence, etc.) with three (3) years experience in leading a data team.  A master’s degree with a minimum of five (5) years experience in data & analytics and three (3) years experience in leading a data team would also be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of the Business Intelligence and RPA ecosystem and capabilities.  
  • Knowledge in identifying business opportunities to build BI portfolios and RPA bots including the ability to identify, assess and manage risks to ensure desired outcomes.
  • Solid demonstration of leadership behaviors including taking care of the needs of the team, supporting individuals through change, and creating the conditions to enable performance excellence and innovation.  
  • Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills, including the ability to speak and write clearly and succinctly in a variety of settings and styles as well as communicating messages at multiple levels in the organization in both official languages (French and English).     
  • Ability to evolve and institutionalize best practices for the appropriate adoption of BI & RPA capabilities and consistently acting as an inspirational role model. 
  • Solid critical thinking and problem solving skills, which drives creativity and innovation. Strong ability to work on several initiatives simultaneously and work within tight deadlines.
  • Good understanding of BI and IA programs and tools, including strong knowledge of Power BI, UiPath and operating models.
  • Good understanding of Advanced Analytics tools for machine learning and AI, such as Azure Studio and Databricks.
