This position reports to the Financing Operations team in our Office of the SVP, Client Operations sector. This sector makes delivering housing affordability solutions easy.

Bring your experience in lending and financing to this exciting leadership opportunity and help ensure that, by 2030, everyone in Canada has a home that they can afford and that meets their needs. As a leader on the Financing Operations team, you will be lead a team responsible for the day to day funding and construction advancing operations for various National Housing Strategy initiatives.
 
What you will need
• Undergraduate degree in a related field, such as business administration, finance or real estate law.
• Minimum of seven years of relevant experience within the financial industry, including three years of supervisory experience.
• Experience leading and/or coaching within an operational team is considered a strong asset
• Demonstrated experience in coaching and employee development skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment with the ability to lead others in times of change.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to influence, persuade others and present information to a variety of audiences.
• Well-developed research and data collection and intelligence-gathering skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
 
What you will be doing
• Leading the day to day funding and construction advancing operations for various CMHC initiatives, including the National Housing Co-Investment Fund, the Federal Lands Initiative, and the Affordable Housing Innovation Fund.
• Developing, implementing, and monitoring plans and processes to streamline operations and promote continuous improvement and a positive client experience.
• Analyzing and deploy tactics and strategies to improve risk performance.
• Generate awareness of the broad range of products and services available from the federal government and CMHC that contribute to local housing solutions.
• Work closely with internal CMHC colleagues and internal partners to ensure a seamless end-to-end client experience.
• Develop strategies, identify improvements and collaborate on issue resolution with national teams, local partners and stakeholders.
• Monitoring the quality of results, market conditions, client serviced standards as well as key performance indicators (KPIs) all the while ensuring team engagement will be a key part of the role.
• Set objectives and establish clear expectations for successful performance by providing ongoing feedback/coaching while fostering innovation, continuous improvement, and accountability for results
