About the role
Reporting to the Director, Corporate Governance, the incumbent supports the Access to Information and Privacy (ATIP), team in meeting CMHC’s legislative obligations.
What you’ll do:
- Monitoring/triaging/responding to straight forward inquiries received via ATIP group mailbox (internal & external requests).
- Opening/closing/tasking out new ATIP requests for senior analysts.
- Printing ATIP records to ATIP system and following up on late tasking for senior analysts.
- Processing informal requests and supporting with review if straightforward formal and consultation requests.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant ATIP, external regulation, and industry best practices, including participating in Treasury Board Secretariat ATIP Community. meetings, training and Inter Crown ATIP meetings.
- Coordinate the retrieval of responsive records to ATIP requests with internal Offices of Primary Interest (OPI).
What you should have:
- Minimum of a High School diploma with administrative experience in a Legal, Human Resources, or related environment.
- Experience can be acquired through the studies, work experience or volunteer activities.
- Proven interpersonal skills (tact, judgment, diplomacy, professionalism, political sensitivity) and effective oral and written communication skills.
- Experience working with ATIP requests.
- A thorough knowledge of ATIP regulations.
- Good organization on skills and ability to manage priorities.
- Customer service focus.
- Ability to function in a technological environment using tools such as spreadsheets, databases and applications as well as consolidation and reporting tools.
It would be great if you also had:
- A post-secondary studies (college or university) in Legal, Human Resources, or related field.
- Knowledge of PrivaSoft software.
- If you already possess a valid Secret (Level II) Federal Government Security Clearance.
