About the role

We are currently hiring 1 full-time Student Intern for a 4-month Summer internship from May to August 2025. This Intern will report to the Actuarial Services team.

Here’s an example of how you’ll make an impact:
- Analyze and present data using preset tools, methods, and formats, testing completed work for reasonableness and accuracy to contribute to the production of actuarial analyses and insights.
- Carry out actuarial analyses to contribute to the production of statutory and non-statutory financial reports and other disclosures.
- Analyze data using predetermined tools, methods, and formats to create standard insights. Use metrics and benchmarks to monitor accuracy and quality.
- Prepare reports of moderate difficulty. Conduct an audit of financial statements required for investment and financing purposes. Design and present reports.
- Take steps to make methods productive and efficient. Promptly and effectively, address process breakdowns. Able to sift through financial data to determine its most significant elements. Clearly recognize cause and effect relationships.
- Apply quantitative analysis concepts within the context of job assignments. Ability in the use of mathematics, statistical tools and computer-aided techniques for the purpose of forecasting, analysis and display of data.
What you need to succeed:
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a University degree in a related discipline such as actuarial sciences, statistics, mathematics or quantitative finance.
- Knowledge of actuarial, accounting and financial analytical techniques and statistical methods.
- Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Experience can be acquired through the studies, work experience or volunteer activities.
- Good oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- Good judgment, excellent organizational and planning skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team setting.
Nice to have:
- Previous experience with Python, R, and SQL is considered an asset.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset, but not required.
