We are currently hiring for 6 full-time Student Interns for 4-month terms: Fall (September to December) 2023. These interns will be a part of the following teams: 

  • Audit and Compliance.
  • Accounting Operations and Procurement (2 positions available).
  • Homeowner Operations.
  • Collection and Recoveries.
  • Housing Programs.

 
Our internships are designed to be meaningful work experiences allowing students to gain significant skills, learn and grow in their field of their interest.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Execute maintenance activities with respect to data and data quality, relevant to financial reporting.
  • Contribute to the delivery of projects, carrying out specified project activities within a defined time and quality parameters and ensuring adherence to the prescribed project management methodology. 
  • Track progress against budgets within established finance systems and report variances to colleagues that are more senior.
  • Extract and combine data to generate standard reports.                                                        
  • Produce, update and provide best practice support on a wide range of reports, databases and other departmental systems to support team deliverables.
  • Gather, analyze and evaluate financial information for assigned financial analysis. Provide financial reporting support in preparing reports, presentations, etc. Work on special projects as required.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a College or University degree in a related discipline such as accounting, finance, or business administration.
  • Previous experience in finance or banking, and knowledge of relevant financial, legislative and regulatory environments   
  • Experience can be acquired through the studies, work experience or volunteer activities.   
  • Good oral and written communication and presentation skills.  
  • Ability to function in a sophisticated technological environment using tools such as spreadsheets, and applications as well as consolidation and reporting tools such as MS Excel and PowerBI.
  • Good judgment, excellent organizational and planning skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team setting.

 
Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Bilingualism (English & French).
  • Pursuing a CPA.
