Responsibilities: 

 

  • Oversee the build of technical solutions that take into account enterprise vision, current state and opportunities.
  • Analyze the viability of the solution to meet project timelines, budget, and quality. Develop fundamental process for SDLC design, promote design driven project delivery, partner with LOB teams and external partners to drive optimal solutions.
  • Facilitates business and IT alignment through a collaborative, supportive and consultative manner, driving the organization’s digital business strategies and balancing innovation and growth.
  • Manages project life cycles, including the use of Agile fast life cycle if appropriate, in three categories: project pipeline (proposed or in development), ongoing IT projects (status, risks, demand management) and completed projects (technology adoption, service introduction). Ensures that IT projects drive towards successful outcomes and that project implementation risks and issues are managed effectively.
  • Oversees the impact assessment of IT proposals, projects, initiatives or other IT changes on people, processes, and policies.
  • Ensures clearly defined and well-understood reporting and information flows between business and IT to enhance communications.
  • Oversees the development of strategies and tactics to deploy a large number of projects with significant financial implications for the business.
  • Maintains close ties to both the business units and the IT organization, thereby creating common expectations that help IT and the business interact, avoid conflict, and jointly revise measures as needed, involving partners and partner relationship management if applicable.
  • Promotes greater business agility, using guiding principles and standards to equip the business to better cope with the adoption of IT changes.
  • Implement and manage software development status reporting, metrics, and benchmarks.
  • Oversee management of relationships with consultants, vendors, and contractors and support negotiation of statements of work and business terms with suppliers.
  • Develop workforce strategy to meet the organization’s current and future development needs through developing, hiring, and/or sourcing talent.  
  • Manage resource allocation across teams to maximize business impact of resources. 


Minimum Qualifications: 

 

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or a related field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • 13 years of years in IT delivery leadership role and in software engineering, developing and implementing innovative solutions with solid understanding on data, security, resilient systems design, integration, and application development via project implementations and at least 8 years in a people leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience and maturity in building and managing scaled enterprise applications. 
  • Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT and predictive analytics.
  • Experience with end-to-end solution implementation, including project planning, estimation, and solution architecture.
  • Familiarity with information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, agile and lean methodologies, infrastructure and operations, and EA and ITIL frameworks.
  • Exceptional soft and interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.
  • Excellent written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and non-technical audiences in both official languages.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Platform, or other PaaS based solutions.
  • Understanding of relevant tools and platforms (e.g. cloud platforms, web technologies, client-server technologies, continuous integration and deployment), with an eagerness to learn about new and unfamiliar technologies.
