This position reports to the Systems team in our Business Optimization and Systems, Office of the SVP, Client Operations sector. This sector makes delivering housing affordability solutions easy.

 

About the role

We are constantly evolving to build an inclusive housing system though research, design, innovation and partnerships.  This permanent position is an exceptional opportunity to become a member of the Client Relationship Management System and Governance team where you will lead and provide the delivery of services and products to our clients using Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM.  As a key member of the team, your expertise in Business Systems Analysis, Systems Testing (including UAT), Data Migration or Systems procedures will help us make housing affordable for everyone in Canada.

Within the industry, this position is commonly known as a Business Systems Analyst.

 

How You Will Be Contributing

  • Leading the optimization of D365 CRM by consulting with key stakeholders and contributing to process flows and user stories.
  • Analyzing and understanding business activities and systems and their interactions with internal and external businesses and systems.
  • Liaising with Information Technology and Leadership to ensure optimal use of technology.
  • Leading or configuring systems changes and model/rules deployments.
  • Participating in and/or leading User Acceptance Testing of transformed systems.
  • Ensuring timely development and execution of test cases related to the processes and systems.
  • Documenting systems procedures to ensure business continuity and knowledge transfer within the team.
  • Valuating business change requests, triaging system defects and recommending system enhancements while conforming to design principles.
  • Providing substantive analytical support on specific issues and ad hoc projects by undertaking complex and non-routine analysis, examining current experiences, testing assumptions, gathering, incorporating, manipulating and validating information and data, anticipating possible impacts, researching, defining alternative solutions and formulating recommendations.
  • Working collaboratively and constructively with internal and external partners to gather data and input for cross-project requests and provide support for regional and national objectives.  
  • Providing project planning, management and measurement skills and techniques to teams, and applying this to several priority projects related to Assisted Housing initiatives.

 

What We Are Looking For

  • A commitment to demonstrating CMHC values.
  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma with a concentration in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or a related discipline with a minimum of five (5) years experience analyzing or designing business systems, underwriting tools or risking and decisioning platforms.  An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience in providing specialized technical advice and recommendations with respect to Information Systems.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or CBAP (Certified Business Analyst Professional) designation(s) considered an asset.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with a variety of audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment with technical support resources, business users and external partners.
  • Broad knowledge of CMHC’s Corporate Strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to research issues, analyze problems, synthesize information and make recommendations.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills to manage on-going priorities.
  • Ability to persuade, influence, and negotiate.
  • Ability to take initiative in completing multiple concurrent projects/ tasks.
  • Knowledge of software migration, testing or deployment strategies is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Decision Rules Engines/Business Rules Management Systems is considered an asset.
  • Previous experience working on a large-scale technology or business transformation is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of User Acceptance Testing methodologies is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of and experience working with Microsoft Dynamics is considered an asset.
