About the role

Join the Business Development team, in the Bilingual Specialist, Training and Business Enablement position. You will be involved in enabling client-facing teams to effectively position, communicate, and drive adoption of CMHC’s Mortgage Loan Insurance (MLI) offerings across Homeowner (HO) and Multi-Unit (MU) segments. Working at the intersection of Business Development, alongside our internal partners in Communications and Marketing and our MLI product and policy teams, the role ensures that all changes to products, policies, and guidelines are translated into clear, practical, and sales-ready tools. Through strong knowledge mobilization and national training delivery, this role supports the effective adoption and positioning of CMHC offerings, contributing to broader business growth objectives.

This is a temporary position of a duration of 18 months.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and continuously enhance client-facing enablement tools (e.g., playbooks, presentations, job aids, and talking points) based on feedback and evolving business needs.
  • Translate MLI product, policy, and handbook updates into clear, actionable messaging to support client-facing teams in effectively positioning CMHC offerings to lenders.
  • Design and deliver engaging national webinars and training sessions to build knowledge and capability.
  • Provide train-the-trainer sessions to internal teams on new tools, products, and key messaging, enabling effective delivery to external lender audiences.
  • Collaborate with Product, Policy, and Marketing teams to ensure alignment of messaging, timelines, and implementation strategies.
  • Support change enablement efforts for new initiatives and product updates, ensuring smooth adoption across teams.
  • Integrate enablement strategies into national initiatives (e.g., MCS) to strengthen awareness, readiness, and execution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure timely, relevant, and accurate enablement support.

What you should have:

  • An undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, Marketing, Communications, Training & Development, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • A minimum 5 years of progressive experience in learning and development, training, or adult education, including facilitation and e-learning.
  • A minimum 5 years of experience in mortgage lending or mortgage loan insurance (MLI).
  • A demonstrated experience in sales enablement, training delivery, or business development support.
  • A proven ability to design and develop training materials, tools, and learning programs aligned with adult learning principles.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with experience delivering training sessions at a national level.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Adobe tools to create training materials.
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and analytical skills, with the ability to build partnerships and support strategic business objectives.

It would be great if you also had:

  • Experience leading national or enterprise-wide learning initiatives in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), digital learning platforms, and analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of change management principles and sales cycles and how they intersect with training and adoption strategies.
  • Certification in instructional design, adult education, project management (PMP) or coaching (e.g., CPLP, CTDP, ICF).
