About the role

Join the Infrastructure and Operations Team, in the Bilingual Senior Specialist, Systems Administrator (IT Infrastructure) position. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and continuously improving enterprise infrastructure services across on premises and hybrid environments. You will provide hands on senior level technical expertise across compute, network, storage, backup, and database platforms, supporting secure, reliable infrastructure through modernization, automation, and complex troubleshooting.

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Administer and support enterprise infrastructure platforms, including server and virtualization, networking and voice/video, storage and backup, and database services.
  • Monitor, analyze, and optimize infrastructure availability, performance, and capacity, proactively resolving issues to prevent service impact. 
  • Act as a senior technical escalation point, leading complex incident investigation, root cause analysis, and problem resolution in alignment with ITSM practices. 
  • Lead and support infrastructure lifecycle and modernization initiatives, including upgrades, migrations, and cloud adjacent transformations. 
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure security controls, patching practices, and hardening standards in alignment with cybersecurity requirements. 
  • Support and continuously improve backup, recovery, and disaster recovery capabilities, including testing and validation activities. 
  • Develop and maintain automation, tooling, and technical documentation to improve efficiency, reliability, and operational consistency. 
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and advisory support to infrastructure peers, contributing to continuous improvement and shared service accountability.

 

What you should have:

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience can be considered.
  • A minimum 7 years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure administration. 
  • Senior level expertise across compute/virtualization, networking (including voice/video), storage & backup, and database platforms. 
  • Experience supporting on premises and hybrid cloud environments. 
  • Experience in using the devops model, using Ansible and terraform to do automation, deployment and customization.
  • Strong knowledge of ITSM (Information Technology Services Management) processes (incident, problem, and change management). 
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills, with the ability to work in both French and English.

 

Technologies:

 

  • Infrastructure platforms: VMware, Hyper V, Nutanix. 
  • Networking & connectivity: LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPN, voice/video technologies.
  • Core services: Enterprise storage, backup & recovery, MS SQL/DB2, Azure (hybrid).
  • Automation: Ansible, Terraform, Powershell, SCCM, AzureCLI, Microsoft Graph.

 

It would be great if you also had:

 

  • Experience supporting regulated or security sensitive environments, with an understanding of compliance and risk considerations. 
  • Exposure to cloud platform operations and integration with on premises infrastructure, including hybrid environments. 
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture and infrastructure standardization, with ITIL Foundation (or equivalent) certification as an asset.
  • Industry certifications in infrastructure technologies (e.g., Microsoft, VMware, Azure, networking, backup, or database platforms) are considered assets.
