Bilingual Senior Specialist, Data Strategy & Initiatives (anywhere in Canada)

Join the Data Exchange team in the Policy Division where we facilitate data-driven decision making in the housing market through the execution of strategic data initiatives. You will assist the organization realize the full value of its data assets to drive efficiencies and value to business areas and promote a data-centric culture. 


You have a consultative mindset and can conceptualize solutions that will drive results using data; you’re skilled at soliciting business requirements for data initiatives and leading implementation. 


  • Support the execution of the corporate data strategy. Support roadmap implementation and management: mobilize stakeholders, define, document and drive the rollout, prioritize projects, track objectives and metrics. 
  • Engage with stakeholders to assess data solutions that bring strategic value, and that address concerns of privacy and governance.
  • Provide data expertise and identify opportunities that serve the needs of the organization and can measurably drive business outcomes through the lens of data.
  • Lead the scoping and execution of data initiatives following a rigorous project management approach. 
  • Support the development and execution of effective change management and communications initiatives in support of building a data-driven culture.
  • Lead and oversee work produced by analysts; coach and mentor colleagues.  
  • Support operational initiatives within the team, including information management, performance measurement and/ or senior management reporting.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field such as computer science, information studies, business, finance or commerce.
  • A minimum of 7 years’ professional experience in data-focused environments with experience in strategy, operating models, process engineering, change management, training, and/or data and analytics transformations.
  • Exceptional oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts into business & value-focused language.
  • Excellent ability to understand business goals and align the goals to data-driven solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships, negotiate and influence at multiple levels within the organization and with partners.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills in both official languages (French and English).
  • Knowledge of mortgage financing, real estate and/or housing systems is considered an asset.
