About the role
Join the Insurance Business Development team, in the Bilingual Senior Specialist, Client Relations position. In this role, you will draw on your extensive multi‑unit mortgage loan insurance (MU MLI) experience, cultivate strong lender relationships, and serve as a key liaison with internal partners to anticipate needs, identify trends, and enable high‑quality submissions. You will also provide strategic guidance on the management of client accounts and key account portfolios, including the delivery of services and initiatives that support a uniform approach to clients and MU MLI delivery.
What you’ll do:
- Support the development and monitoring of Lender Engagement Plans driven by corporate priorities, informed by client needs and market/industry trends, and designed to meet key performance indicators and improve client experience,
- Analyze and report on client satisfaction through the administration of client satisfaction surveys and business performance analyses, and by monitoring market trends and other key indicators of the operating environment,
- Provide regular guidance and interpretation to address policy and operational issues and program improvements,
- Liaise with lender head office contacts to support consistent national practices, strengthen relationships, and address recurring operational needs,
- Engage with other CMHC business lines to resolve complex or sensitive issues that impact reputational risk,
- Provide training and coaching to internal and/or external clients to support consistent approaches across the MU CRM team and lender network,
- Coach and mentor the MU CRM team by setting standards, sharing best practices, and building team capability.
What you should have:
- An undergraduate degree in a field relevant to real estate (e.g., business administration, finance, economics, or commerce), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in client relationships and operations.
- Strong experience in multi-unit mortgage loan insurance, demonstrated ability to identify trends, provide sound guidance to clients and internal partners, and support high-quality submissions.
- Sound analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to capture and synthesize information to develop recommendations and provide advice.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills in both officilal languages (English and French), including the ability to influence and negotiate; able to deliver clear, persuasive presentations and gain acceptance of proposals or plans.
- The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Superior problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working across multiple projects in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
It would be great if you also had:
- An MBA, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, background in multi-unit or commercial real estate, appraisal, construction or project finance.
- Working knowledge and experience with CRM and Dynamics 365.
