Salary: Our salaries generally range from $ 97692.52 to $ 122115.65 and are based on qualifications and experience.

About the role
Join the Multi-Unit Operations team where we enable each employee to lead change and embrace strategic risks. In the role of Bilingual Senior Specialist, Analytics, you will oversee and enable strategic analytics through the effective selection and implementation of tools, methodologies and strategies that translate and interpret data into valuable business insights. You will also ensure the effective development and usage of tools, such as performance measures, data communication tools and business plans that align with corporate priorities and strategic direction. 

 

This is a temporary position of a duration of 24 months.

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Oversee data analytics and present, communicate and make recommendations to management for the purpose of evidence-based decision-making. 
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of business needs and objectives and develop strategies for effective data analysis.
  • Oversee the collection and analysis of data and ensure that it is interpreted accurately to fulfill client needs and influence evidence-based decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to take on new analytical techniques that will meet business needs and targets, and direct team of analysts to build new analytical capabilities as required.
  • Provide functional guidance, advice and expertise to peers and management.
  • Oversee quality control of all data and reporting throughout the delivery life cycle by ensuring that risks are mitigated, and that reliable, methodological, sound and timely data, indicators and analytical information are produced.
  • Leverage insights into industry analytical trends to ensure the use and deployment of strategic analytical tools, models and techniques used for data analysis and interpretation.
  • Identify priority business needs for data, indicators and related analytics through effective engagement with clients.

 
What you should have: 
 

  • An Undergraduate degree in a related field such as business, finance, commerce or economics.
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in creating or working with datasets, reporting, or preparing evidence-based recommendations. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Sound knowledge of data development, analysis, and research methodologies; quantitative and market analysis; economic modeling and projection techniques and software (Microsoft suite, R, Python, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, etc).
  • The ability to analyze transformation solutions and support their implementation.
  • The ability to effectively transfer knowledge and skills through training/mentoring of team members. 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, in English and in French, including presentation skills and the ability to adjust communication to various audiences.
  • Advanced statistical skills to oversee the provision of high-quality data and analytics.
  • The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

 

It would be great if you also had:

 

  • A Master's degree in a related field such as business, finance, commerce, actuarial, mathematical or economics. A specialty in statistics would be an asset.
  • A good understanding of Advanced Analytics tools such as Databricks.
