About the role
Join the Marketing Team in the Bilingual Senior Officer, Multimedia Content (Ottawa) position. This role will support the planning and implementation of social media and multimedia activities to drive program and brand awareness.
This is a temporary position of a duration of 13 months.
What you’ll do:
- Support the implementation of social media strategies, activities, and policies.
- Provide strategic guidance to internal/external clients on how to leverage multimedia opportunities on social media to help meet their objectives.
- Leverage video, audio (podcasting), and other digital media within a wide variety of integrated existing and emerging marketing vehicles.
- Develop short-form video content (organic and paid ads) using best practices for social media platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, and Instagram, based on a sound understanding of the target audience and messaging.
- Effectively manage multimedia projects through their various stages including concept development, scriptwriting, production, post-production, accessibility documentation (open/closed captions and descriptive transcripts), and publishing.
- Conduct quality assurance checks of all deliverables. Ensure that multimedia productions meet both industry standards and corporate brand harmonization standards.
What you should have:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent post-secondary training in marketing, video production, broadcast, animation or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in video production and multimedia.
- Proficiency in using video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X, or Davinci Resolve, and different types of cameras (mirrorless cinema, DSLR, gimbals, drones), lenses, and lighting.
- Understanding of audio recording techniques and mixing for video/podcast content.
- Familiarity with design and animation tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.
- Strong understanding of multimedia consumption/trends in a social media / digital environment.
- Multimedia planning skills, including generating content ideas, scriptwriting, and production scheduling.
- Experience in project management and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Solid communication skills in both official languages (French and English).
