Join our Strategy Team, where we accelerate housing affordability through evidence-based policy, research, and disruptive innovation.  The Innovation Program execution team is responsible for the operation and continuous improvement of the housing programs that fall under the Innovation and Partnerships division - the Housing Supply Challenge, Solutions Labs, and the Demonstrations Initiative. This suite of Programs is at the core of our division and have a lot of important impact in the housing space, removing barriers to housing supply, convening teams to collaboratively tackle important problems, and showcasing innovative solutions to normalize, promote, and potentially scale successful work. 

 

The role of the Sr. Analysts involves contributing to the design and execution of the innovation programs including challenge creation and program launch, application management and support, program evaluations and improvements leading towards the overall effectiveness and impact the innovation programs have on the housing ecosystem. The Sr. Analysts will engage with program applicants and nurture relationships with business stakeholders to ensure the innovation projects are well supported and managed throughout their lifecycle. 
Working with senior innovation program leads, the Sr. Analysts will support the development of selection/evaluation criteria and will curate applications to make recommendations on which opportunities align with the intended outcomes. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support to the overall innovation program execution. 
  • Works within the program design and measurement framework to support the application administration including contribution agreements, milestone management, payment processes, account reconciliation, tracking and reporting.
  • Provides support for ensuring that during the application review stage that applicant requests comply with the program criteria and eligibility criteria. Supports Program Managers in negotiations with applicants on applications that could involve some complex concepts.
  • Research, analyze and synthesize information from diverse sources to provide the division with knowledge, insights, recommendations of potential implications/opportunities and to identify priority gaps that could be addressed by divisional activities or program design.
  • Support program evaluation processes.
  • Communicate with program applicants, evaluators, and other ecosystem players.
  • Contributes to fostering a client-centred, focused, performance-oriented culture while helping to build and maintain relationships with senior-level stakeholders within the housing industry and the federal government.
  • Supports the coordination of processes to ensure Programs (and supported projects) are given visibility and helps contribute to the dissemination of research and program outcomes.

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience in innovation.
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking, research and problem-solving skills. Ability to synthesize and conceptualize.
  • Understanding and experience with procurement procedures and policies.
  • Experience working in corporate financial systems, CRM, PTP or other similar systems.
  • Project management skills and expertise.
  • Strong oral and written communication and negotiation skills, including the ability to write and present complex ideas and solutions to a variety of audiences, including senior management.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Process development skills.


Additional Assets:

  • Innovation, Change Management and/or certificate(s) would be considered an asset.
  • Experience coordinating peer-review or committee work considered an asset.
