About the role
Join the Enterprise Architecture team in the Senior Manager, Solution Architecture position. You will lead a team of Architects in the development and delivery of strategic projects across the organization, ensuring compliance with the Enterprise Architecture process and CMHC’s architecture framework. This role is pivotal in aligning architectural solutions with business goals, enhancing innovation, and maintaining regulatory compliance.
What you’ll do:
- Develop, coach, and lead specialized technical staff to ensure a coordinated architectural approach.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
- Ensure portfolio alignment through strategic direction and operating models, identify dependencies, and prioritize initiatives.
- Resolve issues and conflicting architectural objectives across application, data, system, and business viewpoints.
- Provide expert advice on technologies and evolving IT policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and communication tools to track IT progress and overall performance.
- Communicate the enterprise's vision and strategies related to architectural matters.
- Evolve the architecture framework, program mandate, and governance structure for CMHC.
What you should have:
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Engineering, or other related areas. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
- A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in IT with at least five (5) years of Architecture experience in a large and complex organization and three (3) years of supervisory experience.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing solutions in cloud environments and utilizing modern architectures patterns (API implementations and cloud services).
- A strong knowledge of the architecture practices specifically in Solution Architecture.
- A knowledge of infrastructure architecture on cloud (MS Azure ).
- A strong knowledge of governance frameworks and performance measures.
- A good understanding of architecture tools and frameworks.
- Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills in both official languages (English and French), including the ability to speak and write clearly and succinctly in a variety of settings and styles as well as communicating messages at multiple levels in the organization.
It would be great if you also had:
- Insurance/Financial Institution experience.
- IT EA-related training\certifications related to EA domains of business, data, applications, technology and security.
