About the role
Join the Enterprise Data Office in the Bilingual Senior Analyst, Data Quality position. In this role, you will provide support on executing data profiling activities and deriving insights on the data based on the analysis. You will also be responsible to develop and maintain data quality rules and ensure that testing on the rules is performed, as well as support the root cause analysis for data quality issues, the resulting remediation plan and its execution.
 
What you’ll do:

  • Provide scoping assistance in the process of collecting and analysing information used to establish the effort required to deliver a business use case, initiative, or a project, the risk involved, and the value added to the business.
  • Execute data profiling assessments and provide insights to data stewards and business stakeholders into the quality of the data.
  • Define the data quality rules needed to meet the data quality business requirements to achieve a specific business intended purpose.  
  • Define the business rules and link them to the data quality dimensions as per data quality standards documentation.
  • Develop and maintain data quality standards and ensure they are in alignment with company objectives and industry best practises.
  • Support and provide insights to data stakeholders on displaying data quality metrics and validating their values, and recommend ongoing enhancements to methods and models to lead to insights.
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to enhance data quality tools and processes.
  • Work closely with business lines, data stewards, project/program managers, and IT teams, including partners, to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound organizational decisions.

 
What you should have:

  • An undergraduate degree in computer science or another related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working in the field of data.
  • A demonstrated experience of data governance and management (data classification, data profiling, data inventory, data catalog and data lineage (including mapping).
  • An experience with Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, and/or Data Analysis tools.
  • An understanding of data governance principles and data management processes (including data management lifecycle).
  • Bilingualism (English and French).

 
It would be great if you also had:

  • Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to undertake and complete multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Well-developed qualitative and quantitative analysis skills.
  • The ability to take initiative and work independently on individual projects.
