Salary: Our salaries generally range from $ 52286.89 to $ 65358.61 and are based on qualifications and experience.

This position is located in Ottawa. 

  

 

Join the Language Services Team, where we have the focus, the people and the voice to achieve our goals and support cross functional teams at CMHC to access language training and meet the language requirements of employees’ positions. You will identify, develop, implement and evaluate a variety of activities and initiatives to support language services functions in all regions.  

 

 

This is a temporary position for a duration of 18 months.  

  

  

What you will do:   

  

  • Administer, assign and follow up on second language tests for CMHC employees and external candidates in accordance with policy, processes and guidelines in place in order to meet the language requirements of the positions and for workforce planning.  
  • Communicate with people leader, team members, external service providers and other teams across the organization to ensure clients’ needs and questions are responded effectively and in a timely manner.  
  • Create, prepare, and process and submit different relevant reports such as daily language tests results, monthly, mid-year and end-year official languages compliance reports, language testing reports, etc. Develop reporting templates to streamline and facilitate the presentation of findings.  
  • Anticipate and address issues, trends and barriers with respect to language training and testing, and raise these topics with the people leader to come up with an efficient solution.  
  • Create and, publish classes in MyLearning Admin, process language classes registrations, and follow up with clients, colleagues and third-party on issues that may arise throughout the process.  
  • Any other task that may be required by business or requested by the manager to support team business.  

  

 

What you should have:  

  

  • A post-secondary education or an equivalent amount of education and experience in communication, office management, business administration, industrial relations, linguistics, French or English literature or relevant area of study. 
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as administrative assistant or in any other related support function.  
  • Bilingualism with CBC levels in your second official language (French & English).  
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to multi-task, prioritize, meet deadlines with accuracy and take initiative.  
  • A solid knowledge of different softwares and programs (Microsoft 365, Excel, Powerpoint, Successfactors, Microsoft Teams, etc.).  
  • Solid communication skills both in writing and oral, attention to detail and accuracy.  
  • Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills . 

   

It would be great if you also had:   

   

  • An experience working in adult learning environment, knowledge of new language training and testing trends, methodologies and options.
