About the role
Join CMHC’s Facilities Management Team in the Bilingual Officer, Project Coordination position. In this role, you will provide proactive project monitoring support to the management team, senior principal and senior specialists, prepare project documentation analyze key performance metrics and identify project dependencies and risks. You will maintain collaborative relationships with project teams and clients across CMHC to support the successful integration of project and portfolio management methodologies. You will act as an integral member of the facility team responsible for coordinating and assisting with the delivery projects of varying sizes and complexity.
This is a temporary position of a duration of 24 months.
What you’ll do:
- Proactively ensure others are informed about project status and issues.
- Actively engage stakeholders to establish and maintain open lines of communication.
- Assist with the planning, preparation, and creation of project teams.
- Play a key role in project meetings by following up with team members and stakeholders to address any issues.
- Monitor clients’ needs to ensure they are addressed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Track current project status report against the project plan and maintains a high level of understanding of the project and business outcomes to fully support the project.
What you should have:
- A bachelor’s degree in business, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, Psychology, or other relevant or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
- A minimum of one year of work experience in coordinating projects.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, collaboration and stakeholder relations skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, in both English and French.
- The ability to prioritize work activities to desired business goals when faced with tight deadlines and conflicting priorities.
- The ability to analyze various data and metrics with a view to identifying issues and risks and making recommendations for resolution of same.
- Knowledge of project and portfolio management methodologies, standards and documentation.
- Knowledge of MS Project, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.
