Join the Enterprise Data Office in the bilingual Advisor, Data and Information position, where we are working to make data a catalyst for solving challenges for housing affordability. CMHC is in the process of maturing its Data Governance and Data Management capabilities and is working towards strengthening its operating model including frameworks, policies, processes, technologies, standards and program metrics ensuring the right accountabilities are placed. 

  
What you’ll do:
  

  • Contribute to the overall maturity of CMHC’s Enterprise Data Strategy, with a focus on improvement of data and information management and protection of data. 
  • Spearhead robust data governance initiatives, ensuring that information is managed as a critical enterprise resource with defined standards and policies.
  • Elevate content management systems and practices, enhancing the discovery, delivery, and utilization of enterprise information.
  • Implement cutting-edge records and information management methodologies, aligning with compliance standards and facilitating efficient information retrieval and usage.
  • Champion the harmonization of information lifecycle management, fostering a culture of accountability and clarity in information handling.
  • Define and implement the overall approach to information asset management and deployment in collaboration with other roles for the enterprise data domains. 

  
What you should have:
   

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related field) or equivalent experience in Data Governance. 
  • A minimum of ten years of experience relating to data governance, including five years of leadership experience. 
  • A track record of implementing impactful and sustainable data governance models and data management frameworks. 
  • A deep expertise in the principles of information management and governance, with a strong grasp of DMBOK and related frameworks.
  • A history of leading transformational projects focused on the strategic use of information to enhance decision-making and organizational performance.
  • Solid experience in designing and leading content management strategies that optimize and leverage enterprise information.
  • Demonstrated success in driving the adoption of information management systems, improving enterprise-wide accessibility and interoperability of data.
  • Bilingualism (French/English). 

 
It would be great if you also had:
  

  • A certification in Data and/or Information Management and Governance. 
  • Experience with Information and Data management products.
