Join CMHC’s Climate Change Hub, where we enable each employee to lead change, and embrace strategic risks.  In this role, you will lead missions designed to to help CMHC achieve its climate aspiration for the Canadian housing system. 


Responsibilities:

• Maintain a big picture, end-to-end view of initiatives to facilitate business lines within CMHC and external partners delivering against strategic aspirations.
• Develop analysis and policies on climate-related mitigation and adaptation in the Canadian housing system, as well as CMHC’s own exposure to climate-related risks.
• Lead  the design, development and implementation of products, policies, programs and processes following a rigorous project management approach.
• Communicate ideas, prioritize and scope projects, support the creation of high-level plans and lead building solutions related to climate change in housing.
• Effectively build relationships and influence organizational stakeholders in order to prioritize initiatives, free-up resources and help resolve roadblocks.


Minimum Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree in business administration, public administration, urban planning, geography, environmental studies, economics or related field.
• Ten years of experience in a related function such as business transformation and leading others through change efforts.
• Demonstrated experience in building strategic partnerships.
• Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills; ability to persuade, influence at the senior management level.
• Strong project management and time management skills
• Ability to analyze and understand data.
• Understanding of the Canadian housing and housing finance systems.
• Familiarity with current issues relating to climate change and housing.

 

Preferred Qualifications:
• In-depth knowledge of CMHC’s mandate, activities, practices and programs as well as of the financial, legislative and regulatory environment.
