About the role

The Corporate Strategy Development team at CMHC provides strategic planning, performance measurement, project management, change management, governance, and strategy development and execution leadership to internal stakeholders.

 

We’re constantly evolving to build an inclusive housing system through research, design, innovation and partnerships. In this Senior Analyst position, you will be supporting various projects, initiatives and activities aligned with our strategic corporate objectives.  The Senior Analyst is responsible for coordinating and assisting with the delivery of projects/initiatives of varying sizes and complexity. This role supports the development and updating of reports, dashboards, meeting minutes, presentations and other key documentation related to CMHC projects.  Additionally, this role will provide project coordination support to a team of Project Managers that overall will help us make housing affordable for everyone in Canada.
 

What you will need
• Undergraduate degree in business administration, IT or project management or a combination of education and experience.
• Equivalent experience may be considered.
• Project Management Professional and/or Portfolio Management certification preferred (not required).
• Prosci® change management certification an asset (not required).
• PuMP® certification an asset (not required).
• Minimum of three years of work experience.
• Knowledge of and experience with project management and portfolio management.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies, standards and documentation.
• Strong technical skills.
• Analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Good interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Ability to develop successful relationships with stakeholders.
• Knowledge of MS Project, MS Word and MS Excel.

 

What you will be doing
• Supports data analysis and reporting.
• Supports project coordination tasks (e.g. schedule meetings, prepare agendas and take minutes; prepare presentations; prepare project schedules; update project reports based on comments from stakeholders).
• Applies standard analyses, processes and techniques in analyzing project management data and metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure standards are adhered to.
• Works to improve, develop and maintain project management standards and procedures and ensure their use in projects. 
• Supports employees across the Corporation with the use of project management standards and plays a role in encouraging the use of best practices.
• Develops and produces executive dashboards and reports and keeps project stakeholders and project managers up to date on relevant information.
