Responsibilities: 

 

  • Promotes CMHC’s funding programs and initiatives under the National Housing Strategy, utilizing a variety of presentation methods (i.e. virtual or in-person conferences, webinars, panel discussions etc)
  • Helps clients disseminate program information and provides tools and resources as needed to support the uptake of programs. 
  • Leads the regionally-focused strategic planning and delivery of actionable knowledge transfer activities and resources, taking into consideration CMHC's corporate objectives, regional context and key stakeholder needs.
  • Seeks solutions to complex housing related issues/barriers, bringing in additional internal and external support as required.
  • Maintains a high degree of knowledge of regional housing markets through reviewing research, policies, and housing-related materials.
  • Actively gathers intelligence from relationships to identify and address information gaps,  influence policy, promote best practices, and to inform internal business lines.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Undergraduate degree in finance, architecture, building science, urban planning, social sciences, commerce or related field.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience in the field of housing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the National Housing Strategy as well as the provincial housing market and trends.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bilingualism (English-French) is required
  • Experience working in the affordable housing industry in combination with knowledge transfer and presentation skills. (Preferred)
