Salary: Our salaries generally range from $ 83038.35 to $ 103797.93 and are based on qualifications and experience.

About the role

Join the Enterprise Data Office, Specialist, Data and Information Systems position, where we lead our digital transformation by improving data quality and integrity to accelerate housing affordability. We’re constantly evolving to build an inclusive housing system through research, design, innovation, and partnerships. In this role, you will support the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of a Data Management solutions. You will also help the organization realize the full value of its data assets and capabilities, ensuring safe, effective, and efficient sharing of data across CMHC. 

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Leverage Informatica's IDMC to intelligently scan and understand enterprise data, ensuring data is consistent, trusted, and governed across the enterprise.
  • Utilize the elastic and serverless computing capabilities of Informatica's IDMC to increase scalability and optimize performance.
  • Ensure seamless data connectivity and automate business processes using Informatica's IDMC, supporting data integration at scale.
  • Innovate using Informatica's IDMC capabilities for 360 views of business data, delivering trusted insights and data intelligence for governance and democratization.
  • Ensure the data management practices and deliverables adhere to and are consistent with CMHC's policies and practices.
  • Provide data support and training to clients and partners, and work with business partners to develop and implement improved data practices throughout the organization.
  • Spearhead the collection and articulation of both functional and non-functional system requirements, ensuring comprehensive coverage of business needs.
  • Engage in the creation of procurement documents and actively contribute to the evaluation process, aiding in the selection of optimal solutions.


What you should have:  

 

  • An undergraduate degree in a related field such as computer science, finance or other related analytical field, and a minimum of five years of experience in related positions with Data Governance responsibilities or within Data Technology with increasing responsibilities.
  • A demonstrated ability to use Informatica's AI-powered, unified data management platform to deliver business outcomes.
  • A knowledge of DMBoK, particularly in data governance and architecture.
  • A familiarity with data quality best practices, including data mapping, governance controls, and automation, as well as knowledge of data security practices and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in leveraging cloud-based, scalable solutions for data management.
  • Skilled in integrating various data sources and automating end-to-end business processes.
  • Ability to intelligently scan and manage metadata to discover and understand enterprise data.
  • A strong ability to analyze complex data sets and derive insights to support business decisions.
