Join the Client Solution team where we’re constantly evolving to build an inclusive housing system through research, design, innovation and partnerships. In this role, you will oversee and support Indigenous clients in the intake process of housing programs, be responsible for making decisions that mitigate risks, optimize client service and achieve corporate objectives. With your superior analytical, client service and problem solving skills as well as your ability to develop a network and maintain sound business relationships with clients, you will help us make housing affordable for Indigenous people in Canada more available.


  • Contributing to the strategic direction of the CMHC.
  • Manage the entire process (from allocation to final payments) of our Indigenous Internships program and support Sector Capacity in the delivery of our skills program. 
  • Support clients and CMHC Client Solution Specialists in the intake process of our suite of renovation programs and social housing program (Section 95).
  • Support clients and solve problems related to our Client Relation Management (CRM) tool and a wide range of client issues. 
  • Maintain quality relationships with clients to understand their needs and objectives and explore opportunities. 
  • Insure the quality of the data in CRM, produce reports to help the team in the business development and follow up on active leads. 
  • Act as a primary liaison and work in close collaboration with multiple divisions within CMHC to help solve issues along the delivery process. 
  • Work in a team environment and contribute to service standards and turnaround times.
  • Use effective oral and written communication techniques to deliver quality service. 

Minimum Qualifications: 


  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or commerce, with a concentration in accounting, finance or property management.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in accounting, financial or property management or in social program management or any other combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to persuade, influence and/or negotiate with others to gain acceptance of proposals or plans.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of affordable housing issues and the social, economic and political trends that affect the affordability and quality of the affordable housing stock.
  • Strong knowledge of various computer tools and applications, including the Microsoft Office suite and Client Relation Management. 
  • Demonstrated experience in working with Indigenous clients and/or Non-Profit and Co-operative Organizations.
