Join the Chief Risk Officer sector in the role of Advisor, Planning, Prioritization & Governance. Your strong negotiation skills and passion for Risk management will serve you for leading and developing a horizontal, integrated planning framework for the sector.
This is a temporary position of a duration of 24 months.
Responsibilities:
- Provides advice and guidance to the Vice-President of the Sector regarding the delivery of strategic plans across the Sector and how the Sector can adapt to meet challenges.
- Establishes and builds best practices and processes to identify ways of working horizontally/within the sector to drive efficiency and improve services.
- Is responsible for the delivery of key sector projects (e.g., risk appetite business cascade) and supports the completion of other divisional priorities including key CRO transformation and organisational resiliency projects. Ensures effective risk management systems and practices are integrated within the planning framework and related processes and facilitates communication with key stakeholders.
- Acts as integrator and key horizontal communications enabler within the sector.
- Identifies efficiencies, opportunities for collaboration across sector business lines.
Minimum qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting or economics.
- 10+ years of risk management or project management experience
- Advanced oral and written communication skills, negotiation and persuasion to present to C-suite level Executives within CMHC.
- Familiarity with CMHC's mandate, regulatory environment, and the economic landscape.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingualism (English and French)
