Student intern, Sourcing Administrator (Position can be anywhere in Canada)

Join the Chief Financial Officer Team, where we use financial foresight and legal insight to improve housing affordability.  In this role, you will use appropriate tools to perform data mining in support of team initiatives and business needs. You will support a range of activities related to reports preparation and presentation. You will provide support on low risk procurement and sourcing strategies to the business line and collaborate with business line to deliver on low risk sourcing requests. You will also help coordinate the low risk RFx process, and implement contracts with the objective of obtaining best value for CMHC.

 

We are currently hiring for a full-time Student Intern for a 4-month Summer term (May - August).

 

Responsibilities:
• Manage low risk procurement content and resolve low risk issues and disputes.
• Draft and issue low risk contracts.
• Assess compliance with all procurement policies.
• Interface with stakeholders for processing and resourcing support.
• Support the Procurement team in achieving strategic goals to ensure effective procurement practices within CMHC business lines.
• Prepare documents using a variety of computer applications such as Microsoft Office. Also responsible for gathering and summarizing data for reports.
• Extract and combine data to generate standard reports.

 

Minimum Qualifications

• New Graduate or pursuing an undergraduate degree in business administration, economics, legal, procurement sourcing, supply chain or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year experience or the experience can be acquired through the studies, work experience or volunteer activities.
• Data analysis skills with the ability to capture and synthesize information.
• Ability to function in a technological environment using tools such as spreadsheets, databases and applications as well as consolidation and reporting tools.
• Good verbal and communications skills.
• Good organizational skills.
