Join the Policy team in the Senior Assistant, Market Research position.

 

You will be responsible for supporting housing market research information needs and marketing initiatives. This involves a range of activities from data management, processing functions, client communication to document management.

 

This is a temporary position of a duration of 12 months.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Respond to all external clients' emails, phone calls or inquiries and data requests in a timely manner; guide clients on how to access CMHC website and/or Housing Market Information Portal to obtain various reports available online.
  • Use statistical and analytical software tools such as SAS, EViews, R and Python to provide relevant and accurate data.    
  • Organize all electronic files on a product basis to increase staff accessibility to file information and eliminate time spent retrieving and locating files.
  • Troubleshoot programs such as SAS, R, Python, EViews or Excel as problems arise.
  • Understanding, influencing and/or serving people are important considerations in causing actions or acceptance by others.
  • Review and verify all invoices and claims for Market Analysis and Survey.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Post-secondary education with experience in administrative support.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of market research concepts and information storage processes.
  • Written and oral communication skills, including the ability to speak and write clearly and succinctly in a variety of settings and styles to communicate messages that have the desired effect.
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency in the use of programming software such as SAS, R, Python or EViews.
  • Client service skills, ability to understand and meet client needs and resolve issues within established parameters.
  • Organizational skills, including project management and the ability to undertake and complete multiple, concurrent tasks.
