Senior Analyst, Policy (Position can be located anywhere in Canada)

Join the Housing Finance Policy Team where we accelerate housing affordability through evidence-based policy and research. 

 

 Responsibilities:

 

• Conduct quantitative and qualitative research and analysis to support the development and analysis of housing finance policy and/or the development of programs.
• Scan and assess the internal and external environment for emerging housing related policy and/or programs.
• Collect, analyze and synthesize data from diverse sources and provide analysis on specific issues and ad hoc projects
• Collaborates with team members and provides analytics expertise to support the development of policy proposals.
• Represent CMHC at, and organize as required, meetings, committees, and working groups.
• Develop a variety of written documentation, presentations and briefing materials.


Minimum Qualifications:

 

• Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Economics, data science, social science or a related field.
• Strong research and analytical thinking skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

• Knowledge of and/or experience working in the Canadian housing industry
• Experience working in government, or in policy related roles
• Experience working with Excel, Python, Power BI and/or Stata
